Affirmative Sentence



  • Was and were being used to show past tense in the sentence
  • When the subjects is-he, she, it, this, that or some singular numbers 'was' is used
  • With the subject 'i' also, 'was' is used
  • When the subject is - you, we, they, these, those or some plural numbers - 'were' is used.
  • It is to be noted that with the subject 'you', whether it is meant for one person or many, 'were' is used
